WHAT IS COMMUNICATION?
Communication (from Latin: "communis" means to share) is an activity of conveying information through the exchange of thoughts, messages or information, as by speech, visuals, signals, writings, and behavior. It is the meaningful exchange of information between two or a group of person.
IMPORTANCE
We communicate every day. A simple nod to acknowledge a person is an example of communication. We need communication. “Why?” you might ask.
Imagine a world without communication. A world where we do not speak. A world where we live with each other but do not even look each other in the eyes.
We would be living primitively. Communication is important in progress. Without communication we will not be able to share our ideas. How can Socrates share his philosophical ideas when he can't communicate? How can the Wright Brothers invent the airplane when they do not communicate with each other?
It is said that no man is an island. Without communication we would all be living alone.
"Loneliness is never more cruel than when it is felt in close propinquity with someone who has ceased to communicate" -Germaine Greer
